December 11th, 2007 Monthly Meeting Minutes
5 Members Present: Tina Altman - Pres., Kim Hunn -Acting Membership VP, Natasha, Nicole, & Katherine.
Opening Activity - Katherine led a name tag making activity. She supplied the embellishments and know how. Everyone enjoyed the activity immensely and tried to out do each other.
Announcements/Updates
Neighborhood Watch Update: Tina mentioned that there have been a rash of doorbell break ins in Woodbury recently. The would-be robber rings the door bell and if no one answers goes to the back and breaks in. Members were told to be cautious when answering the door. Car & garage break-ins have been more frequent in Woodbury as well.
Tina suggested that we get a speaker from the Police Department to speak to the group about personal safety and neighborhood watch groups. Nicole mentioned a self-defense speaker as well. This will be discussed further during the 2008 planning meeting.

Current Balance $346.68 (Happenings Books payment not paid in full yet)
Membership Count: 12
Side note- Tina is applying for a grant from the MN Women of Today to help offset some of our expenses.
Promotions Update
Kim continues to monitor local sites where Woodbury Women of Today is advertised and places new flyers as needed. The Woodbury Magazine was contacted again, but so far there has been no response from the editor about running an ad.
Homemade Treats- Thank you Natasha for bringing the delicious Christmas cookies and candies!
Brainstorming-Projects/Events
Happenings Books- Tina will tally the sales and give a report at the next meeting. A big extra THANKS to Kim, Natasha, Janet and Tina for selling the books.
Family Week/Pizza Night will be moved to Sunday Jan. 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Davanni's during Women of Today Family Week.
Woodbury Estates Activity- At the Jan. monthly meeting, the group will decide on an exact date to do
a Valentine's Day card making activity with Woodbury Estates residents. The week before Valentine's Day was
suggested.
Next Monthly meeting- New member recognition, sub committees and planning for the upcoming year.
