Welcome
The sign – in sheet was passed around. The 10/9 meeting agenda with the September meeting minutes was handed out. Tina led a name tag activity. Each person in attendance was asked to write down and share a favorite scary movie, costume, candy and place to trick or treat. (anywhere in the world)

New prospective members were given an overview of the history of Women of Today. Tina Altman and Kim Hunn decided to restart the Woodbury Chapter in May. We currently have 8 members and prospective members are present at every monthly meeting.

Good News and Celebrations

Member Janet Marzolf shared that her daughter was awarded a scholarship to St. Scholastica College.
Prospective Member Tanya Holt was unable to attend the meeting because she is launching the Primrose School of Woodbury, an educational child care center. Woodbury Women of Today members and prospective members are invited to the grand opening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 20th from 10:00-2:00 p.m. The school is located at 10350 City Walk Drive in Woodbury.

Kim Hunn gave birth to her first son (Matthew) on Sept. 2nd.

Brainstorming/Project Ideas
Current Fundraisers- Happenings Books and Herbergers Community Day Coupons.
ACTION: Contact Tina if you need books/coupons to sell or if you would like to sign up for a shift to sell the coupons at the Herbergers in Stillwater.

Happenings Books are $30.00 and will be sold until Dec. 15th. If the group sells 50, we get 50% of the profit.  If the group sells less than 50, we get 20-30% of the profit. There will be a prize for the person that sells the most.  Tina is keeping a log of numbers. Janet and Kim took Happenings books. Kim- 10 Happenings Books and 5 Herbergers Coupons.

Project Ideas – Volunteer at Woodbury Estates (place where we meet)
Kim will follow up with her contact at Woodbury Estates and have suggestions of things they would like
help with by the next meeting.

Ideas for Socials- Those in attendance were split in to two groups and came up with ideas for social
activities.

The ideas are as follows: Pampered Chef Party, Chocolate Party, Coffee Shop Social, Maplewood
Mall, Dinner, Make up Party, Ice Skating, Going Green Seminar, Wine and Cheese Party, Brunch, Game Night, Potluck, Cookie Dough Exchange, Root Beer Floats w/family, Family Pizza Night, Happy Hour & Spontaneous Socials.

Best Day/Time for Socials – The consensus was Tuesday nights at 7-8:30 p.m.

ACTION: Tina to e-mail all members and prospects to take an informal survey of what days and
times work best. Ideally, socials could be done every 3 months.
